Recommendations

          I am very pleased to support all of my current and past students in their ambitions beyond my classroom. However, for your own benefit, before asking me for a recommendation you should consider whether you believe I will be able to write you a good/strong recommendation. If your answer is "yes" then please follow the instructions below and then contact me to make your request! 

Writing

At LEAST 2 weeks before your letter is due to be submitted, please send me an e-mail requesting my recommendation and include the following information in your message.

  • Your full name

  • The semester and course(s) you took with me and the final grade(s) you received

  • The reason why you think I (specifically) can write you a good recommendation

  • The program/job/scholarship/etc. that you are applying to and your reason for wanting to apply to this particular one

  • Why you think you are prepared to succeed and or contribute to your desired destination

  • Your tentative schedule in the coming weeks in case I feel we should have a meeting so I can learn more details to help me write a better letter
